On September 24 between 13:57 and 14:07 UTC, a small number of clients connecting to primary.quonfig.com from the Ashburn, Virginia area experienced TLS connection failures. The issue was isolated to a single edge server operated by our hosting provider. Clients routed to that server could not complete a TLS handshake. All other edge servers, including the two others in the same region, served traffic normally throughout.

Impact was limited. Our config delivery service itself was healthy the entire time, with no errors or restarts. Quonfig SDKs that hit the affected server retried against our secondary delivery endpoint and received their configuration without interruption. We observed a handful of these automatic retries, all successful. No configuration data was stale, lost, or served incorrectly.

The incident was detected by our external monitoring and resolved on its own once the affected edge server recovered. We continued to see intermittent connection errors from that one server through the afternoon, all absorbed by SDK retries, and it has been stable since approximately 19:00 UTC. We have raised the matter with our hosting provider.
